Preparation of the paneling

Clean the panels thoroughly. You can buy liquids especially designed for woods. Soap and water may also do. If the wood panels are really a mess because of the intense acquisition of soils and other specs of dirt, stronger solvents are needed.
Painting fake wood panels
Clean the wood panels by using mild detergent and soap. If the wood panels have been painted in the past, you might want to use a sandpaper to sand down the old coating. Make sure that the wood paneling has even surface before doing the priming and painting.
